Go-Ahead Singapore Announces Appointment of New Engineering Director for Loyang Bus Operation
10 August 2016, Singapore – Go-Ahead Singapore today announced Leonard Lee as Engineering Director with responsibility for its bus fleet.
39-year-old Singaporean Mr Lee joins from PSA Corporation, where he was an Assistant Vice President, managing the engineering function at a container terminal.
Mr Lee is working closely with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and suppliers to ensure buses and the overall engineering department are ready for service on Sunday 4 September 2016, when the company commences operations. The bus services will run from Loyang Depot and serve areas including Bedok, Changi, Pasir Ris, Punggol Sengkang and Tampines.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Lee said: "I am very pleased to join at this exciting time. My engineering colleagues and I are working to ensure a seamless transfer and we look forward to serving our communities. To ensure maximum bus availability and staff productivity, we have harnessed innovative technology, such as mobile tablet assisted diagnostics."
Kevin Middleton, Go-Ahead Singapore's Transition Engineering Director added: "We are delighted to welcome Leonard to our family. His experience will prove invaluable as we meet the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. He will provide strong and positive leadership in the run up to, and well beyond, the start of service."
Mr Lee brings a wealth of relevant experience to his new position. A career engineer, he holds a Bachelor in Engineering (BEng) from Nanyang Technological University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Manchester.
