Go-Ahead Singapore Announces Pay Raise for Bus Captains

1 July 2016, Singapore – Go-Ahead Singapore today announced that it will increase the minimum basic starting salary for all its Singaporean and Permanent Resident bus captains to S$1,950 per month, with effect from 1 July 2016. This will apply to both existing Go-Ahead Singapore bus captains, as well as new-joiners.

Bus captains affected by the transition to the contracting model will also be offered a minimum basic starting salary at terms comparable to what is being offered in the industry. This, will come into effect from the date that they join Go-Ahead Singapore.

We want to enable our bus captains to grow both professionally and personally, and the updated salary will further complement the existing benefits that are already available to our bus captains.”

To date, Go-Ahead Singapore has hired 655 bus captains, ahead of its target to recruit and train 700 bus captains by the third quarter of this year.
